Challenge
The company wanted to give its customers the ability to see all of the most useful information at a glance, so they can get in and out without spending much time so that they can focus on fixing any issues. “If we’re doing our jobs right, you’re spending the least amount of time in here as possible so you can get to fixing your system,” said Shane Roma, product manager at Legrand AV.
Approach
Legrand AV aimed to provide its customers with dashboards that give critical telemetry and outlet status updated in real time.
Solution
Legrand AV configured its dashboards to show voltage, overall power, with the ability to turn outlets on and off and cycle the power remotely. Customers can do this at the click of the button. In addition, each outlet can be named, and the dashboard shows bidirectional feedback, which means the command can be pushed to the device or vice versa.
The company has also created consistency across its dashboards for different devices. Cycling the power for PDUs and UPSs look the same. Likewise, Legrand AV’s customers love the space management to understand which products are in which room and which management. “That’s been a big win from our customers,” Roma said.
